Mike just referred to Elsie Tanner and even though I've only been watching Corrie for 2 1/2 years, I knew exactly who he meant. That's all thanks to you, Corrie Canuck!

Have you seen the original five Corrie episodes? I rented them from Netflix. However, my Canadian Source has assured me they are also available through Zip as well.

There are 2 disks in the set:
1. A 40-year Corrie retrospective, including Kevin Webster with a pornostache and a mullet like most men have only dreamed of, as well as many other tidbits.
2. The original 5 Corrie episodes in glorious black and white, wherein we get to see how skinny Ken used to be, but more importantly, we get a taste of the giants, like Ena Sharples, Elsie Tanner and Annie Walker.

Just a recommendation.

But you're right - it was very gratifying to know who Mike was talking about.

I read that huge red Corrie book which gave me lots of insight into Elsie Tanner. I believe Jackie has the book now. It is meant to be circulated to anyone who wants all the background in quick thumbnail style.

No fears my darling, I have not been hoarding the bible.

I think Rebekka or Monika has it now...if not I have yet a 2nd copy that we can pass round.

I have it! I forgot that I have it! Man, I gotta read that thing. Hey, I've had it for far too long - does anyone want it? Otherwise, I'll hang onto it.
