The latest on Andy Whyment and Richard Fleeshman from the Daily Record…
SOAP actor Richard Fleeshman was a real superstar yesterday when he made a sick little girl's day.
The winner of TV's Soapstar Superstar handed over £200,000 to terminally ill Kirsty Howard at Francis House Children's Hospice in Manchester.
Richard, who plays Craig Harris in Coronation Street, won £50,000 on the talent show - to go to a charity of his choice.
And he was left speechless when fellow Corrie star Andy Whyment turned up with another £150,000.
ITV bosses decided to top up the donation and sent Andy, who plays hapless Kirk Sutherland in Corrie, along with the extra money.
It was the first time Richard and Andy had appeared together since the final last weekend, when the pair came first and second.
Richard said: "Kirsty is a brilliant person and I hope I have helped her cause."
Kirsty, who was born with all of her organs out of place, defied doctors' predictions to reach her 10th birthday last year.
