Shopping for Bikkies and Crisps

One of our readers reminded me of a Canadian marketplace that supplies British groceries. It’s Pete's Frootique in Halifax.

Do you know any other good shops in Canada supplying British groceries and goodies? Let us know.

In Montreal, the semi-upscale Quincaillerie Hogg Hardware stores offer such British treats as Twiglets, Jaffa Cakes, Hob Nobs, and Typhoo Tea -- for an inflated price.

Or you could do what me and the missus do: fly to the UK and fill up the suitcases with British groceries.

I'd just like to add that Pete's Frootique's British groceries are also available in the Saint John NB city market. You know, in case you're in town.

I miss Marks and Spencer. When Mr. Mushy Pea and I have travelled to Europe, most recently to London last May, I always bring back overweight luggage full of goodies. Also,Marks and Sparks are renowned for their good quality underwear so be sure to stock up if you go.

Hi Parkdalian: Speaking as someone who lived in Parkdale for several years, I'd like to comment on how much I like your Parkdalian blog and your Parkdale TV site. I'm bookmarking them.
