Brits Abroad

Oasis star Noel Gallagher is ashamed to be British, because he thinks his countrymen publicly disgrace their nation when abroad.

The Layla hitmaker has launched a scathing attack on holidaying Brits, accusing them being loud, brash and ignorant.

He says: "OK, the British like to travel, but they don't have to carry a Union Jack with them. I'm embarrassed when I see Brits in Australia, they act so English.

"They have their tops off, wear flip-flops and shout at the top of their voices."

And the 38-year-old rocker says his brother Liam's short-wearing habit makes him one of the UK's worst perpetrators: "A man of his age, it's f**king out of order."
