Ray Langton Pops His Clogs

We pick up from yesterday with more on Ray Langton reaching his ‘best-by’ date.

Ray is finally out of Ken Barlow’s hair as he keels over during the Hokey Cokey (or Hokey Pokey as it’s known over here.)

Let’s reflect further on the Hokey Cokey.

The authorship of this novelty song is disputed. Some say it was written during WWII by Britain’s Jimmy Kennedy. Others say it was written by America’s Larry La Prise.

In any case . . .

Larry La Prise died peacefully at home in 1996. He was 83.

The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.

They put his left leg in... and then the trouble started.

As Jacqueline mentioned yesterday, Ray ordered a DIY coffin.

Perfect for a no-frills funeral

Can we look forward to the grave cam at his funeral?
