Norris Goes Postal

The Emmerdale stamp went on sale yesterday.

Emmerdale came top of a poll asking viewers which serial drama should be depicted, seeing off stiff competition from Coronation Street and The Bill.

It is being released along with five other stamps featuring some of Britain’s favourite ITV programmes to celebrate 50 years of the television corporation.

Other stamps in the collection are the much-loved comedy Rising Damp; cult classic The Avengers; Britain’s longest running arts programme, The South Bank Show; one of the most popular quiz shows, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?; and Inspector Morse, the brilliant British detective drama.

Bill Roache (our Ken Barlow) speaks out on the decision in “Why No Coronation Street Stamp?

Here at Corrie Canuck, we figured we’d do something about it. With a little help from our Norris and the Weatherfield Post Office . . . . .
