The Next James Bond

Shooting for "Casino Royale", the 21st James Bond film, is scheduled to commence on January 17th 2006 in Prague and South Africa. No casting decisions have been made officially. The release is planned for October 19th 2006.

Producers are looking for a relatively unknown actor who can take over the role from Pierce Brosnan.

Results from the latest "Casino Royale" poll on MI6 - the world's most visited James Bond website - reveal that over half of fans want the next 007 to be played by a British actor.

They really need look no further than Coronation Street. Aren’t there plenty of men on the Street who could fill 007’s shoes? Post your suggestions in the ‘comments’ section for which Corrie actor/character should play James Bond.

HAHA...actually there aren't many options from teh street.

Ken and Mike are too old.

Ciaran doesn't quite fit the mould either.

The only real option is Danny Baldwin, but he seems a bit old too.

I guess Carl is a good choice...maybe too young??

Everyone is so damned common LOL

By the way I love the 007's, i hope they can revitalize the franchise.

The most likely 007 candidate on the Street, in my opinion, is Dev. Although he could easily cross the line from smooth to smarmy.
